Love Note Sweater Class

This pattern is popular for a reason -- it's a great introduction to sweater knitting. Love Note is a top-down yoked sweater with lace details and a provisional cast-on. Knit on larger needles, this lightweight sweater is perfect in a cotton or linen blend for summer or in something heavier for colder temps. We'll discuss gauge and swatching, ease, modifications, magic loop vs. DPNs for sleeves, and how to avoid second sleeve syndrome. If you're ready to take the leap into garment knitting, this is a fun place to start!

Cost: $95 for six, 2-hour sessions 

Dates: May 2, 9, 15, 23*, & 30 and June 6 & 13

*Dates marked with an asterisk are treated as optional office hours.

Required Skills: This class is perfect for the intermediate beginner. Must know how to cast on, knit, purl, increase, decrease, and bind off.  

MATERIALS:
Pattern: Love Note Pattern by tincanknits. Pattern is not included in class price. Please click here to visit the pattern page on Ravelry and purchase your copy. You may also visit us in the shop to purchase a copy prior to the start of class.

Yarn: enough fingering weight and fluff yarn or DK/light worsted weight yarn for the planned size
Needles: The pattern suggests using US 7 and US 10 needles; however the needles you use will depend on your gauge swatch. For the first class, it is recommended to bring a US 9 and US 10 (needle cord length doesn't matter, as we'll talk about what to choose as you make your sweater). 

Other notions: stitch markers, measuring tape, waste yarn, crochet hook and tapestry needle.
